Terms and conditions of sale

These terms are a translation provided for convenience. The French version is the legally binding one.

1. Identity of the seller

The products are sold by Folkovar, Entreprise individuelle (EI) (SIRET 988 726 683 00010), registered office 16 place des Quinconces, 33000 Bordeaux, France. Contact: contact@folkovar.com.

2. Purpose

These terms govern sales of Folkovar products concluded via folkovar.com. Payment and delivery are operated via Shopify. Any order implies unreserved acceptance of these terms.

3. Products and pre-order

Some products are offered on pre-order: the order and payment take place before manufacturing. For the first series, shipping is estimated between November and December 2026, once production is complete. This lead time is indicative and may vary with production at the workshop; you are notified by email as soon as a firm date is known.

4. Prices

Prices are shown in euros. Balaclavas are offered at €59 during the pre-order, then at €65 when available in stock. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (basic exemption). Any delivery charges are stated before the order is confirmed.

5. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from receipt of the product to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to give a reason. You may exercise it online, free of charge, via our withdrawal function: withdraw from the contract here (art. L221-21). An acknowledgement of receipt is sent to you by email without delay.

To exercise your withdrawal, return the product in its original condition to: Folkovar, Kilian Allaire, 10 cours Dupré de Saint-Maur, 33300 Bordeaux, France. The return shipping cost is borne by the customer. We refund all sums paid (excluding return shipping) within 14 days of receiving the returned item, using the same means of payment as the original order.

6. Payment

Payment is made by the means offered by Shopify (bank card, etc.), securely. No banking data is kept by Folkovar. The order is recorded after payment is confirmed.

7. Delivery

Orders are shipped by Colissimo with tracking. Shipping is free within metropolitan France. To other European Union countries, it is a flat 10 €. For any other destination, delivery charges are calculated and shown before the order is confirmed; outside the European Union, any customs duties and import taxes are borne by the recipient. First-series pre-orders ship between November and December 2026 (see article 3).

8. Cancellation and refund of a pre-order

A pre-order may be cancelled at any time before it ships, by email to contact@folkovar.com or via the online withdrawal function. A full refund of the sums paid is then made within 14 days at the latest, by the same means of payment as that used for the order.

9. Customer service and disputes

For any complaint: contact@folkovar.com. Failing an amicable settlement, the consumer may refer the matter to the consumer mediator. French law applies.
