What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. Folkovar has chosen not to use any advertising tracking cookies or marketing trackers on its showcase site.

Cookies and trackers used

• Necessary: your language preference and the contents of your cart are stored locally in your browser (key folkovar-cart-v1) for the site to work. This information stays on your device and is exempt from consent.
• Audience measurement: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, enabled on 21 September 2026. It is a cookie-free solution: it stores nothing on your device, builds no fingerprint and no identifier, and never tracks you across sites. It only counts page views and their broad origin, in aggregate. Being non-intrusive within the meaning of the CNIL guidelines, it requires no prior consent.
• Shop / payment: when you move to the cart or checkout, you are redirected to Shopify, which sets its own cookies necessary for the checkout to work, on its domain.

Your consent

The showcase site sets no non-essential cookie and its audience measurement is cookie-free, so no consent banner is necessary. If a cookie-based tracking tool were added in the future (an advertising pixel, for instance), a consent manager compliant with the French CNIL guidelines would be put in place beforehand. You can configure your browser to block cookies at any time.
