What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. Folkovar has chosen not to use any advertising tracking cookies or marketing trackers on its showcase site.

Cookies and trackers used

• Necessary: your language preference and the contents of your cart are stored locally in your browser (key folkovar-cart-v1) for the site to work. This information stays on your device and is exempt from consent.
• Audience measurement: to date, no audience measurement is active. If we enable one, it will be Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free solution with no personal data (no fingerprint, no identifier): no prior consent will then be required.
• Shop / payment: when you move to the cart or checkout, you are redirected to Shopify, which sets its own cookies necessary for the checkout to work, on its domain.

Your consent

As the showcase site sets no non-essential cookie, no consent banner is necessary. If a cookie-based tracking tool were added in the future, a consent manager compliant with the French CNIL guidelines would be put in place. You can configure your browser to block cookies at any time.
